Rubona Primary School Foundation

Building classrooms. Supporting education. Creating opportunity.

We aim to replace a condemned classroom and improve essential school infrastructure so students can learn in a safe, supportive environment.

Why Rubona?

A growing community that deserves a safe place to learn.

Rubona Primary School serves a growing rural community in western Uganda. Many classrooms are overcrowded, with more than 60 students per teacher, and one classroom has been condemned and is no longer safe for use.

Our work focuses on practical, high-impact improvements that directly support learning — built and overseen with care.

What We Do

Three focused programs, one shared goal.

Build and improve classrooms

We design, fund, and oversee the construction of classrooms and related facilities, including sanitation and water systems.

Provide educational resources

We supply books, desks, learning materials, and basic technology to improve the classroom experience.

Support secondary education

Through a modest scholarship program, we help promising students from low-income families continue their education.

How We Work

Local insight. Strong oversight. Transparent reporting.

All projects are directed and overseen by our Board of Directors in Canada. Local professionals and school representatives support implementation under written agreements, with regular reporting and oversight.

We believe in transparency, accountability, and sharing progress with our supporters. Directors personally cover the cost of inspection visits so donor funds go to the project itself.

Help us build a safe classroom in 2026.

Our current fundraising goal is approximately $57,000 to fund a new classroom, furniture, and related educational support.
