126 holes. Three days. One remarkable effort for Rubona.
Michael Kieran took to the course to raise funds for Rubona Primary School — and went well beyond his 100-hole goal. So far 3,574 CAD has been received toward his 4,000 CAD target.

The challenge
Every round counted.
Over three days — October 16 to 18 — at the Ottawa Hunt and Golf Club, Michael completed seven full rounds of golf. He walked close to 50 miles, carrying his clubs the entire way.
The opening day tested his resolve: just 5°C (41°F), with rain throughout. Michael persevered through three rounds — 54 holes. Saturday brought sunshine and a high of 10°C (50°F). Peter and Betty joined him for 18 holes as he completed another 36. On Sunday, he added a final 36 holes, bringing his total to 126.
The weekend’s pledges are still arriving, and early indications suggest Michael will exceed his fundraising target. Our heartfelt thanks to Michael, Peter, Betty, and everyone who has pledged their support for Rubona Primary School.
